Job Title: DevOps Engineer

Location: Bangalore-Manyata Tech Park

As an experienced engineer with proven expertise in DevOps and a passion for providing data-driven solutions, you’re ahead of trends and work at the forefront of Data warehouse, Big Data, and MLOps technologies.

Impact & Contribution:We’re responsible for CommBank’s key analytics capabilities and work to create world-leading capabilities for analytics, information management and decisioning. We work across the Teradata Group Data Warehouse, Snowflake, MLOps and other Data warehousing technologies.

We’re ready to execute state-of-the-art coding practices, driving high quality outcomes to solve core business objectives and minimise risks.

We’re capable of creating both technology blueprints and DevOps roadmaps, for a multi- year data transformational journey.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Attend the Sprint planning meeting and participate in sizing the test effort required to execute the User stories/requests from the Business Product Owners & Delivery Lead.
• Analyze each story, contact Product Owner if needed and make sure that definition of done is clearly defined. Understanding the “Acceptance Criteria” and conducting a walk-through with the PO.
• Attend Business and Technical incubation sessions.
• Strong proficiency in writing SQL queries.
• Deploy SQL & Batch scripts on server and ensure business receive their reports on time.
• Document the development and testing process and SOPs using Confluence.
• Analyze the end-to-end process of each application and provide suggestion on tuning and automation opportunities
• Analyze the performance of the SQL and work with DBA on fixing any bottleneck queries.
• Familiarize with MLOps application and look for tuning and automation opportunities.
• Provide solution for process automation in projects to eliminate manual dependencies with keenly identifying opportunities for automation in the E2E landscape.

Essential Skills:

• We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team: Group Data Warehouse, Teradata /Hadoop platform, Snowflake, VM Server, Shell Scripting, MLOps
• Strong proficiency in writing SQL queries, ANSI/ISO SQL, Shell Script
• Ability to work on projects that spins with MLOps concepts and coding with Python
• Experience of and/ or a desire to work within an Agile environment
• Flexible approach and able to deal with change and develop new ways of working to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• A degree in Engineering / Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited university with 4-7year's experience
• Experience in Teradata, SQL, Python, GitHub, Confluence, JIRA, VM Server, Scripting, SQL performance tuning and MLOps.
