This was good and easy to prepare. I added a sprinkle of hot pepper flakes to the tomatoes. Next time I'll add some sliced black olives. Instead of parmesan, I like to sprinkle feta on top.

We all thought this was fantastic. It is very fresh and flavorful. We used radiators because we could not find campanella. I also cut the salt to 1 teaspoon and added 1/8 teaspoon of crushed red pepper. Will definitely make again.

This meal reminded of how much I love basil. My family absolutely loved this. Both my children had 3 servings! I'm always looking for meatless meals to incorporate into our diet. I'll definitely be making this one again. As we are not big salt eaters, I skipped it and honestly, I don't think it's necessary.

Simple and classic, but delicious. I can't exactly speak to the measurements used, given I just eyeballed everything and did the spices to taste (I made the recipe for one), but I loved the flavors together. I used whole wheat spaghetti and it was great.

AWESOME.....I read everyone's reviews and this is what I did:::: 3 T olive oil, 6 garlic cloves - pressed, 1 T red pepper flakes Saute garlic & red pepper for 30 seconds......... Grape tomatoes cut in 1/2 - 32oz=2lb=5 Cups=1 lg container from Costco........ Spinach - 9oz bag - rinsed & stem removed........ Add tomatoes & spinach to oil/garlic/pepper & cook 2 minutes....... Pasta - 16oz Angel Hair - Cooked - Added garlic powder to water. I didn't use about 2 Cups so you could use a smaller pkg but this is what I had........ Basil - 1/2 Cup - cut in strips (but next time use 1 Cup)........ Parmesan - 1/2 Cup........ Shrimp - 1 1/2 lb - Saute ahead in garlic butter - set aside...... After tomato/spinach has cooked 2 min add the cooked pasta & shrimp. Stir. Add black pepper but no salt...... Add basil & parmesan last & lightly stir....... Plate & sprinkle some parmesan on top of each serving. This makes a lot but I look forward to leftovers

My son said this was great! I sauteed mushrooms with tomatoes because I needed to use them up. I also boiled the noodles in Chicken broth to add more flavor. Overall it was pretty good. Nothing beats the fresh basil. Great lunch for myself being a stay-at-home-mom!!

A very quick and easy recipe. Fresh basil and fresh tomatoes make this dish. Many additions could be chosen: cannnelloni beans or any other favourite bean, grilled steak or chicken, shellfish (clams or shrimps) - your choice.

Great recipe - easy, flavorable and easily adaptable. I generally add drained cannelli beans and a touch of red pepper flakes to the recipe and sometimes also include fresh spinach wilted by the heat of the cooked pasta, and/or grilled shrimp or chicken. Zucchini, I think, would also be nice. In seasons when tomatoes aren't their best, I even use slighly drained, diced plain or fire roasted canned tomatoes, making this an quick and easy year-round go to meal.

I use this recipe with NO COOKING except the pasta. Everything is fresh and instead of serving with greens, I mix the greens in with the cooked pasta, minced garlic, olive oil, cheese, basil, chopped tomatoes, and spices. Makes summer cooking easy!

My wife and I liked it. Very easy to make. Used medium egg noodles because it is what I had on hand. I also used fresh heirloom tomatoes from my garden which adds a flavor you cannot buy in a store. Some chopped up Pancetta that I fries till crispy added a nice texture. I will make this again and maybe add various other items to try out.

This is a nice, quick, weeknight dinner. The flavors from the tomatoes, basil, and cheese came together well, but the overall flavor was plain and left something to be desired. Next time, I'll add another herb or spice, likely dried thyme or some red pepper flakes.

My family did not care for this. Probably because my husband doesn't really like basil. Oh well. It was easy to make for a quick weekday meal.

Super-easy. Made to recipe, except used Mexican heritage cherry tomatoes from Trader Joe's. Served with the recommended broccoli rabe, which was excellent. Very attractive presentation, nice fresh flavors.

My entire family LOVED this dish. I loved the fact that it all came together so quickly and easily. Many have commented about the lack of garlic flavor. I used a garlic press with the 3 cloves and found it to be perfect! This is definitely going into our regular rotation.

Coming from an Italian girl, I'm pleased to see a different shape of pasta being appreciated; it's solid for holding this sauce. However, the plum tomatoes could have more flavor - I'd suggest vine ripened or cherry tomatoes for more richness. The garlic isn't doesn't come out as much as I'd hoped - either add another couple cloves, or roast it a bit longer. Pressing it will release more juice too. You could toss in a bit more basil also. All in all a quick, solid dish, but not quite worthy of a special occasion or company. We served ours with Roasted Asparagus with Balsamic Browned Butter (HEAVENLY) and sliced fresh sourdough to add some bulk for the men in the family. They dipped it in balsamic for a bit of flavor. We'll make it again, but likely will add extra garlic, tomatoes and basil, and it'll be when we need a quick, tasty mid-week meal.

Tasty and easy every day recipe. Personally I'll use a bit more garlic next time -- I love garlic and I don't think it lives up to its name. But it is very easy to make, and the tomatoes and basil make a nice, fresh sauce.

I made a last minute decision to prepare this dish for dinner tonight. It was a major hit. I served it with a tossed garden salad and warm Italian bread along with a glass of red wine. The perfect end to a perfect Sunday with my family. Everybody raved about it; I made no substitutions.

This has become a favorite recipe, add to the regular dinner rotation. I add more tomatoes for 1 lb of pasta. i like dishes more saucy. I use either linguine or spaghetti and only 1 tsp of salt. Also add more basil, just a tast preference. I think the recipe is great to serve to guests.

We really love this quick pasta recipe. I have made it to the T before and also have improvised a bit. Tonight I was short on tomatoes, so I added some sauteed mushrooms. My husband used all the parm making parmesan toasts so at the end I threw in about an ounce and a half of onion and herb goat cheese crumbles. I turned out great. I love how flexible and forgiving it is.

I used extra garlic and parmesan, and cooked it a little longer (maybe 7-10 mins), added a splash of red wine vinegar and some olive oil. It was really tasty and pretty easy to make, although chopping the tomatoes took some time. I could see getting really efficient at this (food processor?) and making it often. Really good made with multigrain pasta and served with garlic bread. Not something I would make for company.

This is really fast and really easy. I double the garlic (we like garlic in my house) and use a little more cheese. I usually serve with a salad and french bread. Very good for weeknight meal but I wouldn't make for company.
