He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Norman L. Chesmore. Melvin was born Feb.

5, 1948, the son of Golden E. and Doralee E. (Thomas) Chesmore, in Urbana. He worked at Wilson Foods for many years and then for Railroad Services in the maintenance department. A memorial fund has been established in Melvin's memory.
